HOW TO WORK WITH "UNFINISHED BUSINESS" /TRAUMAS

WITH THE FIELD SUPPORT METHOD

. . . continuing from page 1

A typical session will look like this: Every day we start with a check in and a following awareness landing experiments and a little body focus. Then there is a theory part before we start working with unfinished gestalts/ trauma with the field support method in the group. We don't stress and have space for approx 3 - gestalt processes every day . . .

You decide whether you want to work or not, during the eight moduls.

Beeing "field support" for others or observe is important too and you learn a lot by participating or observing the work of others. Everything is voluntary and the main focus is to work with your own unfinished gestalts, so that "the field becomes more open to working on this together with your clients". Those who are starting now are CLASS VII and I see and have seen the development of those who have taken the previous classes. It is impressive to see how they have invested in themselves ((:

After completing the course series, you will receive a diploma of participation with the topics we have covered and the number of PFO (professional academic update) hours category B and A you have participated in. This is the NGF (Norwegian Gestalt Therapy Association's) professional update according to EAGT's requirements for membership. NGF members are members of EAGT through their membership in NGF, when they maintain the requirements for membership in the association.

During the course, you will receive my working document, a approx 110-page PDF where the academic foundation is described. You will also have access to videos that are made along the way.

A VERY warm welcome to you; when you sign up!

“The truth will set you free, but first it will make you miserable.” . . .

By James A. Garfield

This is a truth with modifications. It is not enough, to only feel miserable. You will have to face difficult questions and new information that may change how you see yourself and where you come from. You also have to feel your body, feel your feelings and to go deeper into pain and sorrows. Ex; that you was not wanted/ acknowledge as a infant/ child. And you have to be willing to admit that I have unfinished gestalts, unfinished business, that I am also traumatized. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that those of us who want to be “helpers” also are the ones who “need to take another look at myself and my life”!

This is a good start!

"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are."
. . . Carl Jung

The ultimate goal for Jung was to become your "true self".

In gestalt we do not think this way, maybe growing your sense of a self can be a stepping stone to be aware of "who I become in relation to others".

This quote encourages us to take the journey to authenticity. It will be challenging and also deeply rewarding.

Gestalt therapy, as Perls conceived it, sought to restore our lost innocence; so this ”continuing education” can be one step on the path to just that...
